The Buddy started school a week ago. He is a big first grader now! He seemed very excited for school to start again. We are fortunate to have his same teacher & class from last year - and to walk to school every day. We don't know what next year will hold - right now there isn't a class at our neighborhood school he could be in, so it may be that we have to switch schools for him - but we won't worry about that now. The year is off to a great start so far!
Here are some other updates on the Buddy:
- He has 4 loose teeth - two more on the bottom, and the two top middle ones. Some are more loose than others, but his smile could look drastically different by Christmas.
- He loves Legos now, but will only build from the instructions. He's a pro though!
- His swimming is coming along - he can now do his arms & legs together & it's the closest thing to freestyle we've seen from him. His teacher couldn't be more excited, and neither could we!
- He eats hot dogs now - a major feat! We have had hot dogs & hamburgers once a week for dinner this summer. It's nice to cook just one meal.
- He loves to be tickled, and we love his giggle.
