After the big birthday celebration with her friends, the Princess a few more great birthday celebrations. On her actual birthday, my mom & I took her over to San Francisco to see this amazing Peter Pan show. We took BART, at lunch & gelato at the Ferry Building and then walked over to the show. She was on the edge of her seat throughout the performance. Check out the link here. The theater was in a big tent, with the stage in the middle. There was not a bad seat because nothing blocked your view. When it was time for the kids to fly, they were hoisted off the stage with cables and then images of London or parts of Neverland were projected on part of the tent that was a screen. It was amazing! The acting was great - it's such a great story to begin with. A very magical day. The Princess was so tired, she fell asleep on BART on the way home!
The following Sunday, we got to finish celebrating with the rest of my family. The Princess requested birthday brownies with sprinkles - so that's what she got. I think she enjoyed having her birthday last for a whole week! I thought it was great because she got to enjoy her presents a little at a time before the next wave hit!
Here are some highlights of the Princess at 5:
- learned how to swim by herself.
- a cartwheel champion! She can be found doing cartwheels almost anywhere!
- LOVES gymnastics! Now she goes 4 hours/week. She's a hard worker, too!
- excited to start Kindergarten.
- loves to whistle! I can often tell where she is in the house by listening to her whistle.
- loves to be read to - we've started chapter books too.
- greets friends & family with great big hugs - we love our Princess!
