Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve, we made gingerbread cookies.  The kids paint the cookies before we bake and they had fun doing that.  And those cookies tasted so yummy.  The Princess was sure we needed to leave some of those out for Santa, with chocolate milk, which she said was his favorite.

Our poor princess had the stomach flu on Christmas Eve.  She threw up a few times and we had to cancel on getting together with my family.  I felt like our family of four needed to stay together.  We had dinner & still read from Luke 2 and read The Polar Express before putting the kids to bed.

By Christmas morning, the Princess was feeling much better, and no one else got sick - whew!  The Buddy didn't get up until after 6:30 - a record at our house - and The Princess didn't get up until after 7:30.  We had a little breakfast & opened stockings.  Then we came by the tree to see what Santa brought.  The Princess got a Cinderella doll & the Buddy got legos.  My whole family came over for brunch & more presents.  It was fun to see everyone and little Cody was so excited about everything.

For Christmas dinner, we all ended up at Hazel's house.  The kids played & it was good to visit more with everyone.
