We spent Spring Break in San Diego. It was a much needed vacation for our family. The Buddy was so excited to go to the beach. In fact, we didn't even check in at our hotel first, we went straight to my aunt's house in La Jolla to go to the beach.
We had wonderful weather our entire trip. We ate great Mexican food in Old Town and at Mama Testa's in Hillcrest. I really enjoyed taking the kids up to the San Diego Temple. I was in high school when it was built and remember attending the open house & dedication. The Princess thought it looked like a castle.
We visited a couple of museums in Balboa Park, thanks to our membership at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley. We also enjoyed riding our bikes around Mission Bay.
My favorite thing we did was visit the recently renovated Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center in Old Town. I was amazed by the tour, the videos and the hands on things our family got to try.
We stayed two nights with our friends the Schells. The Princess had so much fun with their girls. It was fun to visit, see the kids get along and enjoy a great dinner our last night in town at Corvette Diner.
