Snow Trip

At the end of January, we took our fist trip to the snow with the kids. We rented a cabin near Sonora & Pinecrest with our friends the Smiths. We had a great location - a spacious cabin with plenty of room for everyone to sleep & play, tons of snow (thanks to a huge snowstorm the week before) right outside the cabin, and close to some snow play areas.

We arrived Friday afternoon and the kids wanted to go outside right away. We were a little worried about how the Buddy would do in the snow - would he keep all the gear on? Would he want to be out for more than 5 minutes? Would he even like it? All of that was answered right away - he was great about keeping everything on, loved playing in the snow and played for hours right outside our cabin.

We ate well and it was fun to visit, play Wii, and watch the kids play together.

The next day, after a big, yummy breakfast, we decided to try some of the bigger snow play areas close by. The sun was out that day and it was so pretty to drive through the green trees, covered with snow, and look up at the bright, clear blue sky. Our family didn't last long at the play areas. The Buddy either wanted to go wandering in super-deep snow, or was asking to leave after sledding a couple of times. So, we went back to the cabin, where he played a sledded for hours!

We had a blast and would definitely go again!
